Anticipated release of Apple’s foldable iPhone look is in 2026–2027.
By 2026, Apple may release a new foldable device. It has been discussed for long time, but just with sketches in patents—no images or anything.
According to the most recent speculation, which MacRumors obtained from a Korean website named The Elec, this foldable phone may be available in stores in 2026 or 2027.
According to reports, Apple’s upcoming phone will have a screen that is between seven and eight inches in size, which puts it in line with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5’s 7.6-inch display.
If everything works out as planned, Apple’s foldable device will resemble Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold’s book-style form rather than the smaller Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5’s flip-phone design.
The twist is that The Elec is unsure if this will be an iPad or a folding iPhone. It might replace the mini version of the iPad if it’s an iPad, but Apple is also rumored to be developing a new iPad Mini with a different screen.
It’s a little unclear, particularly in light of the impending iPad Mini 7 that won’t have an OLED screen. Would Apple actually release a foldable iPad shortly after releasing an OLED iPad Mini, perhaps in 2025?
The fact that Apple hasn’t chosen whether to release a foldable iPad or iPhone implies that the company is still working out the kinks. It appears that this project is still in its early phases because many elements, such as the features that will be included, are still unclear.
It’s interesting to note that since last year, Apple has been receiving samples with panels measuring 7 and 8 inches from both Samsung Display and LG Display. It’s possible that Samsung Display, which is renowned for developing the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, is the primary source of the panels.
Though the disclosures seem thrilling, it’s important to keep in mind that this information is still preliminary. Therefore, even while it’s tempting to think that Apple will release a foldable gadget in 2026 or 2027, things could change in the interim.
